Thankful & Blessed

Happy Thanksgiving

All the Sisters from Mary Immaculate Province wish our family and friends a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I firmly believe, that as long as this nation has a day to give thanks to God and to one another, we will continue to be blessed. Gratitude, Thanksgiving and giving are a sure way of helping us find our way out of our errors, misfortunes and sinful ways. All that is good in our country and home comes from taking the time to thank our God and one another.

St. John Bosco knew the power and wealth of gratitude and would always have a day to celebrate gratitude in a big way in all of his schools and communities with music, song, dance, drama, gifts and a festive meal. He was so convinced of the blessings that come to us through Gratitude that he went so far as to institutionalize gratitude by founding the Salesian Sisters (Daughters of Mary Help of Christians) as his living monument of gratitude to Mary Help of Christians. Let us just step back and take in the abundance of God’s blessings through this trusting act of gratitude on the part of St. John Bosco! Soon, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians will be celebrating a HUGE celebration of gratitude for 150 years of our foundation! We plan for all of you to join us in this big celebration of Gratitude.

At our festive celebration on Thanksgiving Day, beginning with Mass and continuing throughout the day with our prayer moments, feel the Sisters close to you in prayer for your intentions and in gratitude for being a part of our life! May God’s unending and abundant goodness fill you with the blessings you need to know His plan in your life and to have the strength of will to follow it with zeal and passion!

Happy Thanksgiving,
Sr. Rosann Ruiz, FMA

In God there is no hunger that needs to be filled, only plenteousness that desires to give.
